Retractions and Withdrawal Policy

The International Journal of Engineering Innovation, Research and Development (IJEIRD) is committed to maintaining the integrity, transparency, and reliability of the scholarly publication process. The journal follows ethical publishing standards and takes appropriate action in cases involving research misconduct, publication errors, or ethical violations.

This policy outlines the procedures related to article retractions, withdrawals, and expressions of concern.

Retraction Policy

A published article may be retracted if there is clear evidence that the findings, conclusions, or research data are unreliable due to misconduct or significant error.

Retraction may occur under the following circumstances:

Evidence of data fabrication, falsification, or manipulation

Major errors that invalidate the research findings or conclusions

Redundant or duplicate publication of the same work

Plagiarism or unauthorized use of content

Fraudulent authorship claims or false author information

Ethical violations in the research or publication process

Research conducted without appropriate ethical approval or consent

Misleading reporting or misuse of data

When an article is retracted, the journal may publish a formal retraction notice explaining the reason for the retraction to maintain transparency and the integrity of the scholarly record.

Article Withdrawal Policy

Article withdrawal applies mainly to manuscripts or early online versions of articles before final publication.

An article may be withdrawn under the following situations:

Accidental duplicate submission of the same manuscript

Submission of an incorrect or incomplete version of the manuscript

Early versions containing major technical or publication errors

Violations of professional or publication ethics

        False claims of authorship

Plagiarism or fraudulent use of data

Multiple submissions to different journals simultaneously

Withdrawn articles may be removed from the publication system or marked appropriately to indicate their withdrawal status.

Expressions of Concern

The journal may issue an Expression of Concern (EOC) when serious concerns arise regarding a published article, but a final decision cannot yet be reached due to ongoing or inconclusive investigations.

An Expression of Concern may be issued in cases involving:

        Suspected research misconduct

        Potentially unreliable findings

        Ethical concerns under investigation

        Authorship disputes

Questions regarding data authenticity or research integrity

The purpose of the Expression of Concern is to inform readers about potential issues associated with the article while investigations are being conducted.

Investigation Process

All allegations related to research misconduct, plagiarism, ethical violations, or publication malpractice are reviewed carefully by the editorial board and journal management.

The journal may:

Contact the corresponding author for clarification

Request supporting documents or raw data

Consult reviewers, editors, or institutional authorities

        Conduct plagiarism or ethical investigations

Decisions regarding correction, withdrawal, retraction, or publication of an Expression of Concern will be based on the outcome of the investigation.

Editorial Responsibility

IJEIRD is dedicated to preserving the integrity and credibility of the scholarly publication process. The journal reserves the right to take necessary editorial actions whenever ethical misconduct, research fraud, or significant publication errors are identified.

All actions related to retractions, withdrawals, and ethical investigations are carried out fairly, confidentially, and in accordance with accepted publication ethics and editorial standards.
